Questions, answered

Is Pro really a one-time purchase?

Yes. $19 buys a license key, not a subscription. It activates Pro on up to 3 devices and includes all updates for the 1.x series. There is nothing recurring to cancel because nothing recurs.

What platforms does it run on?

macOS and Windows. Builds are not yet code-signed, so your OS may ask you to confirm the first launch (right-click → Open on macOS, "Run anyway" on Windows).

Where do updates come from?

Releases are published openly on GitHub. The app checks the same feed and updates itself — you can also download any version manually.

Is my data private?

Yes. MD Viewer reads files straight from your disk — your documents never leave your machine. The optional AI assistant uses your own Anthropic API key and talks directly to Anthropic; we run no servers in between and see neither your key nor your documents.
